Avenged Sevenfold Plan Big Headline Tour For 2018
In a recent interview with Wisconsin radio station Rzor 94.7, he revealed: "That tour was supposed to happen this summer until we got that call from Metallica, so we decided put it on hold. [...] It was actually a little bit of a tough decision, because we had just paid for the whole stage to get built, and that was a lot of money to build that stage set. And we were able to use it in Europe and in the UK, but it is by no means paid off. So the whole idea was to go and take it throughout America, but then we got the call from Lars, and it was, like, ‘We can’t pass that up'."
So how long do American fans have to wait for a headline tour to attend?
"January, February 2018. We will announce probably after the Metallica tour."
So while Avenged Sevenfold are currently on the road opening for Metallica, here's what you can look forward if you're seeing Avenged Sevenfold live, no matter where:
"You’re kind of going to get a hybrid show [at a festival], which is going to be really cool because the actual stage we built is for indoor arenas, so we can only do so much of that, but we’re doing a stripped down, pyro only show on the Metallica tour, so when we do these one-offs, like Rock USA, we’re going to have a combination of both, so we can do the visuals… with pyro, so it will be a combo of all sorts of stuff going on."
Well, isn't that something?
