Kendall & Kylie Jenner Release New Line Of Controversial Shirts Featuring Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne & More
They've taken designs from said bands and plastered over some of the imagery on the original shirts with images of themselves. As if this wasn't insulting enough, the sisters did not reach out to the artists they 'stole' the shirt ideas from and they were asking 125 dollar per shirt.
I say 'were' for a reason, as the Jenner sisters have already halted the sale of these shirts due to the enormous backlash online, ranging from fans, to Sharon Osbourne to Voletta Wallaca, mother of the late rapper Notorious B.I.G.
Both their responses to the t-shirt line can be checked out at the bottom of this post.
Kylie Jenner also made a public apology, stating that the designs weren't as well thought out as they originally thought:
“These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists. We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in any way. The tee shirts have been pulled from retail and all images have been removed. We will use this as an opportunity to learn from these mistakes and again, we are very sorry.”
