While Twenty One Pilots are currently enjoying some time off from touring, aswell as working on a new record, their success grows bigger and bigger every day. With still 12 million monthly listeners on Spotify while not having released a track in over a year, Twenty One Pilots are still on top of their game.

While we all anticipate new music from the duo, Tyler Joseph has been awarded Top Gold & Platinum Songwriter of July, 2017 by NMPA. Tyler Joseph is responsible for 8 tracks who have RIAA certifications. Here are the tracks, written by Tyler Joseph who have been certified in the past:

Heathens, Ride, and Stressed Out all certified Multi-Platinum.
Holding On To You and House Of Gold both certified Platinum.
Guns For Hands, Migraine, and Ode To Sleep certified Gold.

NMPA is an organisation who identifies & honours the songwriters responsible for today’s biggest hits. Here’s what they shared themselves about their organisation:

“NMPA’s Gold & Platinum Program identifies and honors the songwriters behind today’s biggest hits. NMPA confirms songwriters with their music publishers to ensure all appropriate songwriters are recognized for their contribution to an RIAA certified single. Certifications count both sales and on-demand streams towards gold (500K), platinum (1M) and multi-platinum (2M+) thresholds. Thousands of songwriters have been certified since NMPA’s program began in 2007. For more information visit www.nmpa.org/gp-program.”

As stated above, Twenty One Pilots are currently working on new music, while Josh Dun has also been busy working with other artists. Not too long ago, LIGHTS released her new record which features Josh Dun on the drums for a couple of tracks. Tyler Joseph hasn’t posted an update on social media in over 3 months but is starring in some IG posts from his wife Jenna Joseph, on which he’s often seen with an instrument of some sort. While we patiently await new music, what new music are you listening to currently?
