Netflix Finally Wins Its First Oscar

Netflix has been around for a while and despite being nominated a few times for the Oscars, the streaming service never actually won one.
Until this year!

Yesterday, the 90th annual Academy Awards were hosted at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

The Russian documentary "Icarus" about doping has won the best documentary Academy Award.
The documentary was directed by Bryan Fogel and produced by Dan Cogan.

Other nominees for this Oscar were "Abacus: Small Enough to Jail", "Faces Places", "Last Men in Aleppo" and "Strong Island."

Congratulations to Bryan Fogel, Dan Cogan and Netflix!
