Rock Am Ring, one of Germany’s biggest festivals was held this weekend and we are so happy to have been present. The festival welcomed the likes of The 1975, Bring Me The Horizon, IDKHOW, Against The Current and many, many more. Rock Am Ring is held at the Nurburgring, a Formula 1 race track.

The location, as well as the team behind the festival, is impeccable and it is safe to say this year was a great success. We have seen performances of the greatest rock and metal acts throughout the weekend and will share our findings as well as the photos we took from each band.

Rock Am Ring came to a close with the incredible Slipknot as the last band on the main stage, also known as the Volcano stage. With a set from 95 minutes, it was bound to be epic! Slipknot recently released their new single ‘Unsainted’ and announced their upcoming album ‘We Are Not Your Kind’. Introducing Germany to the new masks, Slipknot took the stage and kicked off ‘People = Shit’.

What followed was a spectacular set, applauded by an ecstatic crowd that reached as far as the naked eye could see. The setlist consisted of incredible fan favorites such as ‘Psychosocial’ and ‘Duality’, which also playing new tracks such as ‘Unsainted’ and ‘All Out Life’.

Slipknot brought the heat – literally – as well as many other props to give the stage an extra eerie feel. The masks looked amazing in person (as you will be able to see on the photos, too) and the entire Slipknot-themed wardrobe made Slipknot’s appearance to be more than worthy of this headliner spot.

Slipknot’s performance was an epic experience and you can get a glimpse of what it looked like by checking out Eva van Kuik her photos below.
