The NME award winners were revealed last night and here are the results:

A lot of alternative bands were in the running for categories such as Best British Band, Best International Band, Music Moment of the Year and Worst Band of the Year.

Here are the alternative artists that have taken home an NME award:

Best British Band went to: Biffy Clyro
Best International Band went to metal legends Metallica
Best Live Band went to UK band The 1975
Best Album went to Bastille for their album 'Wild World'.

Best Festival went to Glastonbury and Best Small Festival went to End Of The Road.

Worst Band, in which both Twenty One Pilots and 5 Seconds Of Summer where in consideration for, was won by 5 Seconds Of Summer for the third year in a row.
